The Wine O’clock Show – Eddie McGuire, QLD’s 10th year of winning State of Origin and more

This week on The Wine O’Clock Show we have Mark Beretta from Channel 7’s Sunrise and Social commentator Prue MacSween from Verve PR swing by to join us on the couch.

We chat about QLD’s 10th straight win in State of Origin, Eddie McGuire’s comment about Caroline Wilson, RACQ’s proposal to have us redo our drivers licence and a whole lot more fun with Never have I Ever.

So, sit back, kick off those shoes, grab yourself a wine and enjoy this weeks show.

A mother-of-one has slammed single mothers who go out every weekend as she believes the parents of young children should not drink alcohol or have a night off from their responsibilities. She has criticised the “disgraceful, half-hearted parenting” of mothers who go out and drink on the weekend and proceed to look after their children hungover the next day.

Should single mothers with young children be allowed to go out every weekend?

Eddie McGuire made a very poor joke on radio last week. Speculating with North Melbourne chairman James Brayshaw and All Australian selector Danny Frawley about who could participate in next year’s water-dunking Big Freeze challenge, he pledged to pay $20,000 to see veteran journalist Caroline Wilson thrown in and $50,000 “if she stays under”.

The AFL have condemned the commentators who went on to suggest Wilson be forcibly “held” under the water, but while McGuire has been vocal about the matter, social media users have been far less than impressed by his “non-apology” to Wilson

Queensland’s peak motoring body has put forward a proposal that would see the state’s drivers re-tested on the road rules each time they renew their licence.

Queensland has now won 10 years in a row, should NSW look at replacing Laurie Daley?
